Quick Start
This guide walks you through setting up Hadinet Africa for the first time.
What You Need
- A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Brave)
- A crypto wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect-compatible wallet, or you can use email/social login)
- About 5 minutes for initial setup
You do not need any cryptocurrency to use Hadinet. There are no protocol fees.
Step 1: Open the App
Navigate to the Hadinet Africa app in your browser. You will see the landing page with an overview of the platform and its features.
Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
Tap Connect Wallet at the bottom of the landing page. You will be presented with several options:
- MetaMask — if you have the MetaMask browser extension or mobile app
- WalletConnect — scan a QR code with any WalletConnect-compatible wallet
- Email — enter your email address to create a wallet automatically
- Social login — connect with Google, Apple, or other social accounts
If you do not already have a crypto wallet, the email or social login options will create one for you automatically through Privy.
Step 3: Sign the Authentication Message
After connecting your wallet, you will be asked to sign a message. This is not a transaction — it costs nothing and moves no funds. It simply proves that you own the wallet.
This signature creates your DID (Decentralized Identifier) — a unique, pseudonymous identifier derived from your wallet. This DID is how Hadinet recognizes you without knowing who you are.
Step 4: Explore Your Dashboard
Once authenticated, you will land on your Dashboard. From here you can:
- View your identity card — shows your current verification status
- Start verification — begin the KYC process with a provider
- Access your document vault — store and manage encrypted documents
- View recent activity — see your verification history
Navigation
The app has four main sections, accessible from the bottom tab bar:
