Hadinet Africa integrates with established KYC (Know Your Customer) providers to verify your identity. Each provider covers different regions and offers different verification methods. This page provides detailed information about each provider.

Smile ID
Africa-focused identity verification with coverage across 12+ countries.

How Smile ID verification works:
- You select Smile ID as your provider
- You are guided to take a selfie for liveness detection
- You photograph your ID document (front and back)
- Smile ID processes and verifies your documents against their database
- The attestor receives the verification result and generates ZK proofs
What you need:
- A valid government-issued ID (national ID card or passport)
- A device with a front-facing camera
- Adequate lighting for the selfie capture
Plaid Identity Verification
US, Canadian, and European identity verification through financial institution connections.

How Plaid verification works:
- You select Plaid as your provider
- You connect through the Plaid Link interface
- You select your financial institution and authenticate
- Plaid verifies your identity through your financial records
- The attestor receives the verification result and generates ZK proofs
What you need:
- A bank account or financial account at a supported institution
- Credentials to log in to your financial institution

Verification Levels
Different providers and documents result in different verification levels:

Higher verification levels may be required by certain services. All levels produce a valid ZK proof that can be independently verified.
Using Multiple Providers
You are not limited to a single provider. You can verify with multiple providers to achieve broader coverage:
- Verify with Smile ID for African country coverage
- Also verify with Plaid for US/EU/UK coverage
- Each verification creates its own independent on-chain proof
- Services can check any or all of your verifications
This is useful if you:
- Have identity documents from multiple countries
- Need verification coverage across different regions
- Want redundancy in case one provider's verification expires
Provider Privacy
All providers are accessed through Hadinet's attestor, which creates a zkFetch TLS tunnel to the provider. This architecture provides important privacy guarantees:
